Last night,

when quiet met me with a flowing wind,

I walked alone down a narrow street lit by moonlight.

I looked up at the sky and found one of the brightest stars.

And at that moment, I knew the star was you.

I try to look at you in a long pause,

hoping you’re on the other side and looking at me too.

The rhythm of your light flashes side by side with my heartbeat.

You shine so brightly among the shadowy skies.

I bowed my head to the ground in a pause I couldn’t count.

And when I looked back at you, you were gone. While I want to look at you for longer and revert to being someone who walks alone, staring at the stars
